Amy Robach underwent a double bilateral mastectomy on Thursday, Nov. 14, after revealing on Good Morning America that she had recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The ABC News correspondent's husband, Andrew Shue, provided an update for her many supporters following the major surgery.
"@AndrewShue on behalf of my brave girl. She came through surgery beautifully," the Melrose Place alum tweeted from his wife's Twitter handle on Friday, Nov. 15. He continued: "And so appreciates the genuine love and support."
The 40-year-old journalist told viewers on Monday, Nov. 11, that she had been diagnosed with the disease following a live mammogram on the news program.
