Matt Damon Offers Support - and a Hug - to His Famous Friend
Matt Damon popped up at LA's Bootsy Bellows nightclub on Wednesday to show support to his friend and fellow actor Jason Patric. He was all smiles as he posed for photos and even shared a sweet hug with Jason on the red carpet. Matt attended Jason's Stand Up For Gus fundraiser to help raise money for the Lost Boys star after he was stripped of parental rights over his 4-year-old son, Gus, who was conceived after Jason donated sperm to an ex-girlfriend. Earlier this year, Jason spoke out about the custody battle in a 20/20 interview, saying, "I'm going to fight till I'm dead to see him."
Last week, before stepping out to stand behind his friend, Matt spent an adorable day with his family at Disneyland. He and his wife, Luciana, rode in a Cars-themed ride with their daughters and blended in seamlessly with the rest of the park's visitors. Matt has also been busy filming Christopher Nolan's new project Interstellar, alongside Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, and is trying out a buff new physique, as well — Matt showed off his bulging muscles in LA last week, prompting some to wonder if he's been hitting the gym with BFF Ben Affleck.
