Is Gwyneth Paltrow trying to gain weight for an upcoming movie in order to improve her public image?
Wild reports surfaced this morning that the 41-year-old actress was under pressure to boost her public perception following negative press regarding her beef with Vanity Fair magazine.
"There is major pressure on Gwyneth right now to do something big and turn the tide of heavily negative publicity that, coupled with her last underperforming movie Thanks For Sharing, has effectively marred the fact that she will be front-and-center for the year's biggest hit, Iron Man 3," an alleged "insider" told Radar.
"She has to fix this problem before she commits to more work. There is a significant image problem at work and Gwyneth doesn't want to have another baby to fix it," the source said, adding, "It looks like she will have to undergo either some weight gain for a role that wins her Bridget Jones-style sympathy or perhaps do a play on Broadway or in London that will allow her to reconnect with her core fans...She knows there's a problem, and is focused on fixing it. She's completely lost the public's sympathy with her ‘little miss perfect' image."
While to baby and weight gain rumors are colorful, a rep for the Oscar winner tells us they are totally fabricated.
"That is completely absurd and beyond ridiculous," Paltrow's rep tells E! News. "Clearly the item was made up."
