If you have not see Paramount's upcoming "Bad Grandpa," and you're interested it in seeing it, then might I recommend that you not watch the new red-band trailer for the film? Here's my thinking: part of the thrill of seeing the film, as with every film in the "Jackass" series, comes from the surprise of how the gags unfold. Some of the set-ups are obvious, but what really makes the film work is seeing how the jokes play out and seeing how they play variations on the gag. Running this sort of red-band R-rated trailer gives you a good idea of just how far the film is willing to go for a joke. The vending machine joke that opens the trailer is far more visually upsetting than this lets on, and there's a sequence they show a bit of that comes later in the film that is absolutely insane. Seeing the film in a packed theater, I was entertained as much by the screams that came from people in the theat

We're hesitant to criticize Chloë Grace Moretz after seeing her terrifying turn as the most famous revenge-seeking teen, but facts are facts and the fact is that the dress is way too big. See how the high neckline sits slightly off the Kick-Ass star's chest? That's because it's not fitted to her figure. And do you notice that the belt doesn't quite cinch into this starlet's natural shape? That's because the waistline is too wide. Part of the problem is that this Vivienne Westwood design features thick fabric and ruffles throughout, creating an all-over bunchiness that makes it look bigger than it really is. We'll cut the budding star some slack for that element of the attire. But at the end of the day, the flirty pink color and vintage print just makes Chloë look like a little girl playing dress-up in her grandma's clothes from the '50s. Now please excuse us while we go run and hide just in cas

Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) doesn't show emotion too often, but when he does, it usually falls under frustration, annoyance, hatred and anger. Oddly enough, those are all the emotions we felt when we discovered that NBC is shelving Parks and Recreation until Nov. 14! Replacing Parks in the Thursday night time slot this week is a repeat of The Voice, because of course it is. Next week will feature a Saturday Night Live Halloween clip show, and then NBC will put Parks and Rec back on the air for two weeks. After those episodes air, the Pawnee crew will be yoinked off the air for the remainder of 2013, retuning in early 2014.

Principal production has begun in London on action-comedy "Mortdecai," starring Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ewan McGregor, adapted from the series of three novels by Kyril Bonfiglioli. Added to the main cast are Paul Bettany and Olivia Munn. Here's an official synopsis: Juggling some angry Russians, the British Mi5, his impossibly leggy wife and an international terrorist, debonair art dealer and part time rogue Charlie Mortdecai (Depp) must traverse the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold. "Mortdecai" marks the first film under Lionsgate and Will Smith's OddLot multipicture co-financing and distribution deal that was announced last month. When Carol Burnett launched her namesake variety show in the 1960s, one TV executive told her the genre was "a man’s game.” She proved him wrong with an 11-year run that averaged 30 million viewers each week. On Sunday, the trailblazing comedienne received the nation’s top humor prize at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Top entertainers including Julie Andrews, Tony Bennett, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and others performed in Burnett’s honor as she received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. The show will be taped and broadcast Nov. 24 on PBS stations. "This is very encouraging,” Burnett deadpanned in accepting the prize. "I mean it was a long time in coming, but I understand because there are so many people funnier than I am, especially here in Washington. "With any luck, they’ll soon get voted out, and I’ll still have the Mark Twain prize.” Fey opened the show with s

Cee Lo Green could face up to four years in prison after being charged Monday with giving a woman ecstasy. The Voice mentor, 39, was charged with one felony count of furnishing a controlled substance to an unidentified 33-year-old woman in July 2012, according to a statement issued by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, was allegedly dining at a restaurant in downtown L.A. with the woman when he slipped her ecstasy, according to the statement. The two later went back to the woman's hotel room. Prosecutors declined to file a sexual assault charge against the TV personality, who was originally accused of rape of an intoxicated person. Prosecutors cited insufficient evidence and ask that his bail be set for $30,000. Green's attorney, Blair Berk, described the singer's relationship with the woman as "consensual," and with reg

Amanda Bynes's legal problems are getting worse.
The actress, 26, has been charged with two counts of hit-and-run relating to alleged incidents in April and August, a spokesperson for the L.A. City Attorney's Office tells PEOPLE.
TMZ reported that on April 10, the actress, driving a rental car, slammed into a vehicle on an L.A. freeway and fled the scene, according to the alleged victim. On Aug. 4, a different woman claimed Bynes, driving a BMW this time, rear-ended her and drove off without exchanging information, according to a report at the time.
Bynes faces up to one year in jail if convicted on both of the misdemeanor counts. Her arraignment is scheduled at a Van Nuys, Calif., courthouse on Sept. 27. Her attorney did not immediately return a request for comment.
