Former New York Times reporter Peter Landesman has a handful of film projects in the works, and his docudrama on JFK's assassination wasn't immediately welcomed (at Venice) though it has been embraced (and reworked, we think) a bit more closely in North America, as the critics were much less harsh at the Toronto International Film Festival recently. We hear the opening scenes, as Kennedy is brought into the Parkland hospital, are a bit tough to watch.
