Selena Gomez Set to Perform During Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving Halftime Show

Selena Gomez is doing her part for the home team.

The 21-year-old pop princess, who hails from Grand Prairie, Texas, will headline the Dallas Cowboys' halftime show when the former Super Bowl champs take on the Oakland Raiders for their traditional Thanksgiving Day game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

"I'm so excited to be here," Gomez told the press at an official announcement on Sunday. "I'm from Texas, so I'm a little nervous, I'm not going to lie. But I'm very honored and I hope that we come—me, my dancers and my band—and we give Texas a really good show and I make them proud."

The "Come & Get It" singer's Nov. 28 performance will also act to kick off the Salvation Army's 123rd annual Red Kettle campaign, its iconic holiday drive to provide food, shelter and toys for families in need.

Kristen Stewart Joins Indie Movie Anesthesia: Report

Kristen Stewart's work schedule just keeps getting busier!

The 23-year-old actress has been cast in the upcoming indie flick Anesthesia, according to Deadline.

She'll reportedly appear in a small role and will be shooting for a few days in New York for the Tim Blake Nelson film, which centers on a group of New Yorkers whose lives have been touched by the same philosophy professor.

Stewart has been busy with two upcoming movie projects as of late—the Peter Sattler-directed Camp X-Ray, in which she plays a soldier stationed to Guantanamo Bay, as well as the Olivier Assayas-directed drama Sils Maria, which also stars Juliette Binoche and Chloë Grace Moretz.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel Enjoy Wedding with 'Nsync

How romantic!

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel looked pleased as punch at the wedding of Timberlake's fellow 'NSYNC member Chris Kirkpatrick on Saturday.

All five band members were in attendance to celebrate the vows between Kirkpatrick and Karly Skladany at the Loews resort hotel in Orlando, Fla.

The 'NSYNC members have seen a lot of each other this year, having reunited in August at MTV's Video Music Awards.

Timberlake, 32, and Biel, 31, kept it simple in basic black, Biel wearing natural makeup and allowing her soft waves to fall around her shoulders.

Kate Hudson's Skimpy Gucci Gown—Is It Her Sexiest Look Yet?

Did Kate Hudson just win sexiest look of the year?

She certainly is a contender in this skin-baring Gucci gown. At the very least, the actress was the definition of stunning over the weekend at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles in the shimmering cutout number, which highlighted her super slim physique and tiny waistline.

Not that the mother-of-two hasn't had her fair share of sultry styles in the past few months. In April, the Something Borrowed star wowed in a strapless Reem Acra gown with thigh high slit. And who could forget the blond bombshell's Golden Globe ensemble: a plunging Alexander McQueen gown with gold embellished collar and belt.

Her Gucci gown was in good company at Saturday's fete—Zoe Saldana, Salma Hayek, and Kate Beckinsale all looked gorgeous in the label. Plus, Nicole Richie turned heads in an ultra s ... Read more »

Claire Danes Goes Topless, Talks About Bipolar Homeland Role After Baby

Claire Danes is one hot mama.

The Homeland star posed topless for Interview magazine and showed off her amazing post-baby body.

During her chat with the fashion mag, Danes spoke about the difficulties in taking on her bipolar character on the hit Showtime series so soon after giving birth to her son Cyrus.

"It was exhausting but also exhilarating. I had just come out of my mommy cocoon and my cushy, mushy love planet. So entering that mania at that point was not as enjoyable," she explained.

Lea Michele Is Choosing to 'Rise' After Cory Monteith's Death

When Cory Monteith died at just 31 due to a mixture of alcohol and heroin, Lea Michele turned to a famous friend for help.

"I called [Kate Hudson] and said, 'I don't know where I’m going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters].' She was like, 'Oh, you're going to stay at my house.' Like it was nothing. No one knew I was there," Michele says in the December issue of ELLE. "I'll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me."

She continues, "I never thought I would be in this position in my whole life. Now that I am in this position, you can choose to rise, and that's what I'm going to try to do. I know that Cory would want nothing more than for me to take this situation and use it to help people."

NBC’s Political Drama Crisis Pauses Production

Crisis, NBC's upcoming hostage drama starring Gillian Anderson and Dermot Mulroney, has taken a production hiatus as a "course correction," according to Deadline. This break comes after production wrapped on the fifth episode of the show and reportedly includes bringing on additional writers to beef up the creative staff. Crisis is a political thriller about a hijacked school bus whose passengers include the vice-president's son and much of the offspring of D.C.'s most important people. Mulroney plays a dad and school-trip chaperone (who's more than the buttoned-up dweeb he looks like), and Anderson plays another student's mother. The pilot is terrific, and anything that can prevent this from becoming Hostages 2.0 — all promise, no delivery — is a good thing.

Miranda Kerr. Naked. Again. See the Pic!

Let's face it. When it comes to this photo of Miranda Kerr posing naked, what else is there to say?

After all, sometimes words simply get in the way and are nothing more than a distraction.

OK, maybe not as distracting as seeing a picture of the 30-year-old model seductively sitting in her birthday suit with a white sheet barely covering her nether regions, but you know what we mean.

Of course, Kerr is certainly no stranger to stripping down and showing us some skin. Not that we're complaining.

How CBS’ Comedy Strategy Got Shortchanged by ’2 Broke Girls

If you think about it, TV comedy has long relied on what amounts to an apprenticeship program. An established hit helps nurture along a new companion show, which in turn is supposed to go stand on its own, helping the next generation prosper in a "circle of life” kind of way.

For CBS, the baton pass went to "2 Broke Girls,” the linchpin of its strategy to expand the network’s successful Monday comedy block to Thursday nights. But it turns out "Girls” wasn’t up to the task, leaving the network with some interesting questions as it seeks to revive the Monday lineup — or at least buck it up a bit — with the return of "Mike & Molly” on Nov. 4.

Baltasar Kormakur makes the most of his Hollywood break by returning to Iceland for a beautifully filmed drama based on a real-life tragedy with mystery elements. How exactly did a lovably schlubby fisherman managed to stay alive after spending hours in the freezing ocean? One of Kormakur's go-to actors, Olafur Darri Olafsson, braves the elements in the Oscar-nominated picture that is being released in the middle of summer for some reason.

Dealin' with Idiots (2013)

Comedy

Faced with the absurd competitiveness surrounding his son's youth league baseball team, Max Morris, a famous comedian, decides to get to know the colorful parents and coaches of the team better in an attempt to find the inspiration for his next movie.
Director:
Jeff Garlin
Stars:
Jeff Garlin, Steve Agee, Gina Gershon, Jami Gertz

The premise sounds like Jeff Garlin might have experienced some writer's block as he worked on a follow-up to I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With, his directorial debut. So it seems as though he took a look at his family life, then opted for an improv approach with his cast, which includes some standard players (Richard Kind, Kerri Kennedy) and curiosities (Jami Gertz), and those without flaw (Gina Gershon).

Director:

Stars:
Michael Cera, Gaby Hoffmann, Juan Andrés Silva, Agustín Silva

What the trailer doesn't show you is to what degree Michael Cera is playing against his established nice-guy image in his collaboration with Sebastian Silva - one of two projects the star and director brought to Sundance this year (the other, Magic Magic, will be released later this year). Filmmaker Thomas Vinterberg is back on the international film circuit in a major way with a lean, dark, black-humored thriller where a small-town community's moral foundation begins to fracture after one of its own is accused of abuse. Enjoy Some Of the Weirder YouTube Music Awards Moments

Tonight's YouTube Music Awards were certainly a treat for all you Greta Gerwig and Eminem fans out there. (A Venn diagram which is basically just a circle, right?) The Frances Ha star worked it out in Arcade Fire's Spike Jonze-directed live video for "Afterlife," punching her way through a sylvan winterscape in a blazer and kicking along with a troupe of wonderful little girl dancers.

Meanwhile Marshall Mathers brought that classic 1,000 yard stare and whisper voice during his performance of "RAP GOD," a celebration of his selection as the YouTube Music Awards 2013 Artist of the Year. Give the kids what they want, we guess?

'Real Housewives of Atlanta': Porsha suggests Kordell Stewart is gay

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" is back, and amazingly, so is the entire cast. Given that Porsha's husband Kordell seemed to have a game plan in place to dump her long before she became aware of it (heck, she found out they were getting divorced via Twitter), you'd think he would have petitioned long and hard for her not to come back for a second season while he still had a say in the matter. But I wonder if he thought Porsha would just meekly accept being kicked to the curb. Gosh, she'd never air their dirty laundry on national television, would she? Hahahahahaha!

Lady Gaga Rocks Crazy Teeth, Eminem Wins Artist of the Year at First Ever YouTube Music Awards

Lady Gaga might have a tough time getting applause with that smile.

Never one to stay inside the box, the "Applause" crooner popped up on the red carpet at the first ever YouTube Music Awards Sunday, flashing this yellow, decaying, faux grin.

CMAs will be 'Blown Away' by Carrie Underwood in Music Video race

Carrie Underwood is co-hosting the CMA Awards with Brad Paisley for the sixth year in a row, and she'll take home Music Video of the Year too. That's according to our predictors, who put her dramatic video for "Blown Away" at the head of the pack with 8/11 odds. She has never won the category before, but two of her competitors have.

Taylor Swift won in 2009 for "Love Story." That year Swift swept the CMAs, also collecting prizes for Entertainer, Female Vocalist, and Album of the Year. She's a contender in all of those categories again this year, but in this race she contends for her featured work on Tim McGraw's "Highway Don't Care," which our predictors rank third with 13/2 odds.

Miranda Lambert won in 2010 for "The House That Built Me." This year she's nominated for "Mama's Broken Heart," her fifth solo bid in the category, bu ... Read more »

Film Review: ‘The Square’

Re-edited with new footage since Sundance, Jehane Noujaim's documentary is a commendable yet limited account of post-Revolutionary Cairo.

Back in January, when Sundance preemed Jehane Noujaim’s "The Square,” the documentary was considered the last word in chronicling the turbulence of post-Revolutionary Cairo. But with unrest and uncertainty continuing in Egypt, that version is now labeled a work in progress, and the filmmakers have an update, re-edited and longer by about eight minutes. Deadline reports that Attack the Block director Joe Cornish might be taking on Star Trek 3 now that J.J. Abrams has moved on to Star Wars. Considering he also wrote the Ant-Man screenplay and is allegedly adapting sci-fi thriller Snow Crash, Cornish has the potential to dominate the superhero and sci-fi landscape for the next few years. And then worse comes to worse, he can probably direct Star Wars VIII.

Directors:
Mark Christopher Covino | Jeff Howlett
Stars:
Bobby Hackney, David Hackney, Dannis Hackney, Mick Collins

Mark Christopher Covino's documentary has been hyped as a look at a forgotten band who served as a precursor to the punk-rock movement in the U.S., which is hyperbole that still cannot outshine the power of Death's music and the seriously cool way in which the Detroit trio's music has been reintroduced to contemporary disciples. Picture if your son made your 1970s garage band one of today's most sought after underground records.
