This story contains elements that bring the first two seasons of "American Horror Story" to mind, and we credit that show with giving this horror/thriller more attention than we would otherwise. Sorry to say the thing that gives us pause is the presence of director Scott Stewart, who will hopefully ease off the visual-effects indulgences that turned his first two movies -- Legion and Priest -- into unintended spectacles. The trailer was refreshingly old school, so we're holding out for a potential throwback to classic alien-invasion tales.
