Antonio Campos's follow-up to Afterschool was inspired in part by the work of writer Georges Simenon, and the director developed the script with his two leads, Brady Corbet and Mati Diop. We understand the overall story is more of a character/mood piece than a thriller undulating with the potential for violence. Definitely intrigued here.
